Bound volume, compiled by Isaac Hayne from newspapers and other sources, contains births, ages, deaths, marriages, memorandums, horses, Negroes ages, bills of scantling. "Ages" contains an alphabetical listing of individuals and their birth dates. Slave records include births, deaths, and occasional notes concerning the sale of slaves. Also includes notes on plantation management such as the issuing of blankets and the work of overseers, plowmen, housekeepers, and others. The section on horses contains descriptions, information about branding, breeding, purchases, and sales.
